1990-2000 Carroll High School Drama


Performances in the 1960s and 1970s included the following:

Fall 1991 brought back a young face to Carroll Drama. Marcia Hemmert (83) joined the English Faculty and agreed to take on the job of directing the fall play. Hillbilly Weddin was a big hit and would lead to 15 years of plays and musicals for Marcy. With help from Sr. Mary Alice and Melissa Balsom ('83), the drama club thrived.

1990-91: The Miracle Worker, directed by Michael Bertin, a Wright State graduate and professional actor

Fall 1991: Hillbilly Weddin, directed by Marcia Hemmert

Fall 1992: Cheaper By the Dozen, directed by Marcia Hemmert

Spring 1993: The Wizard of Oz, directed by Marcia Hemmert and Kyle Harrop

Fall 1993: Our Town, directed by Marcia Hemmert

May 13-15, 1994: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, directed by Marcia Hemmert, Angie Adkins and Melissa Fisher; 52 students were involved in the musical

November 11-13, 1994: Rebel Without a Cause, directed by Marcia Hemmert and Melissa Fisher

Spring 1995: The Sound of Music, directed by Marcia Hemmert, Melissa Fisher, Angie Adkins, and Christine Marino

Fall 1995: Little Women, directed by Marcia Hughes, Melissa Fisher and Christine Marino

Spring 1996: Brigadoon, directed by Marcia Hughes, Melissa Fisher, Angie Adkins, and Christine Marino
